VALIDATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL PROLONGED GRIEF DISORDER SCALE
In light of the new ICD-11 PGD guidelines a new questionnaire is needed that directly reflects the content of the ICD-11 guidelines: the IPGDS. Here we aim to validate a new questionnaire in large international samples in Switzerland, China, Portugal, USA and Canada. Project in development, collaborators welcome.
The IPGDS seeks to operationalize the ICD-11 definition of PGD in a self-report questionnaire format. The ICD-11 PGD definition is structured to have two core symptoms (item 1, item 2) and examples of emotional pain (accessory items 3-12). Item 13 indicates functional impairment and item 14 indicates cultural norms. The core and accessory symptoms are represented questions from previous measures (i.e. the integration of items from the PG-13 (Prigerson et al. 2008) and the SCI-CG (Bui et al. 2015). A new question on culture norms of bereavement is also included. The threshold for clinical diagnosis of PGD is currently under investigation.

MGAGE: MOBILE GRIEF ASSESSMENT GUIDE AND E-RESOURCE
We aim to develop a mobile assessment tool for Prolonged Grief Disorder that provides clinicians and health care workers with quick reference to symptoms and easy to use diagnostic guidelines. Currently in development with a Japanese start-up company, Sustainable Medicine, SUSMED, Inc.
SUSMED, Inc. is a Japanese Digital Medicine startup founded by a medical doctor in 2015. It’s core platform technologies are BLOCKCHAIN AI, and Universal Medical Application Platform for healthcare and medical fields.
It is developing a Mobile Application for Insomnia Treatment as a software medical device. Additionally, it has started to use and offer its Clinical Trial System with Blockchain technology and Automatic Analytical System for pharmaceutical, medical device, CRO and other purposes with the aim to provide sustainable medicine.

International Assessment of Grief in Displaced People
The refugee crisis calls for urgent response in terms of assessing the mental health needs of refugees, and the provision of useful clinical tools and support systems. This project focuses on culturally appropriate mental health assessment, a fundamental yet overlooked clinical tool. Culturally appropriate assessment intends to improve diagnostic validity and communication, and empower refugees to access appropriate mental health support.
Here, we aim to complete part of an international field trial to implement the PGD toolbox in a diverse sample of refugees in Switzerland and the Netherlands. The PGD toolbox is a new culturally appropriate assessment tool developed specifically for refugees. It is comprised of two assessment measures: the International Prolonged Grief Disorder scale (IPGDS) and the Grief and Bereavement Cultural Formulation Interview, a newly proposed clinical interview that will enhance the validity of the assessment.

KEATS Mobile App for Child Refugees
In order to facilitate social interaction and integration, accelerate language learning, promote intercultural exchange and ultimately promote the mental health of migrant children, the intervention “Keats” was created. Keats promotes social interaction between migrant and Swiss children in the form of lunch exchanges, whereby the organization of these is facilitated by a mobile application. The mobile application allows parents to find a lunch spot at another family’s home for their children during their lunch break at school.
1) To establish the KEATS app as acceptable and feasible for use in local school communities
2) To provide an overview of well-being, integration and language use in those who use the KEATs app
